OUROBOROS is a publication that critiques the past, present, and future of time poverty. [Time poverty: The feeling of not having enough time for what you need/want to do.] Designed with no beginning or end, the reader can start at any chapter, experiencing the book as an endless loop like the snake eating its own tail. This non-linear structure embodies abundant anti-capitalist perspectives on time. The four chapters touch on the development of our shifting relationship with time, critiquing capitalist clock time, discussing the science of space time and the search for time affluence.

Has time stress always existed?
What is its toll?
Who can afford to slow down?

Students from different disciplines, around the world gathered at the KEA Copenhagen School of Design and Technology to crack a sustainability brief in 5 days.  Our team was assigned Utterslev Torvs; a neighbourhood of elderly and children in Copenhagen.

We designed an Urban Mining workshop that works with local waste to teach repair skills & facilitate the sharing of resources & knowledge.  Referencing the local pond and ducks in the area, the visual language is nostalgic, playful and Danish, fostering comfort amongst the large elderly and youth residents. The stickers are designed for doors and mailboxes to indicate the resources (tools or advice) neighbors are willing to share.

The land I am writing, researching, designing and standing on today is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples that were violently removed by colonialism and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples that do not have equal rights to their land. I stand in solidarity with the Indigenous community. Free Turtle Island. #freepalestine #freecongo #freesudan
